Semester in Review

I finished my Spring Semester 2009. It was hard, easy, horrible, and absolutely WONDERFUL.
For some reason I think I always know what to expect out of a semester because I've had 8 others. Yet, every single semester is always different no matter how hard I try to replicate the previous.

To start out I had completely new roommates. Luckily I knew 4 our of the 5. My roommate roommate was Katie, she is wonderful and a joy to live with. Kassie and Orchid were our trusty neighbors to the right and Hannah and Lacey were down the hall. I had so much fun living with Hannah. To be honest I think our roommates enjoyed her more than me, and understandably so.
I was in a new ward. This is always fun, new bishopric, relief society sisters, home teachers, and even new times and buildings to meet in. I had the great opportunity to serve as a Gospel Doctrine teacher. It was great fun.

I had new classes. Research and Evaluation, CIT 140 (computer class), Group Dynamics, Fly Fishing, Experiential Education, and Canoeing. All of these brought new challenges and knowledge to add to my college degree.

I worked with new people in the RecSports Office, along with new policies, and situations. These always kept life interesting and fun.

I made new friends, and great ones at that. I do enjoy meeting new people, especially if you connect right away and it's like you've always been friends. And along with new friends brings new crushes....oh yes.

Through all these "new's" in my life, some would think that I would become the new me. But really I feel that I am still me, just a better version. I look back and can see growth, but I don't feel unfamilar to myself. Through this journey in life we are reaching our potential and I feel like I just got closer to who I will become.

One thing that has stayed constant in my life, is the Gospel. I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that my Savior loves me, He cares for me. He atoned for my sins and enabling me to become better. There were countless times when I saw the Lords hand in my life giving the strength to continue through hard times. He allowed me serve others in His behalf which in turn blessed my life. I know that Gospel is true, Joseph Smith prayed and did see our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Pres. Thomas S. Monson is a living Prophet on the earth today. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Christ. I'm grateful to be blessed to go to a school that teaches these prinples in our classes and the spirit is present on campus. I love my Savior.
