Life be like....

Hello,
My name is Bekah. I'm 22 yrs old and I love the sun! Classes are going great. Except for Latin dancing, I can't quite shake my hips correctly. Work is fun, keeping the office on their toes, and currently I'm the assistant to Suzie for putting together the end of semester social we are having for all of the participants. We're in the middle of tournament right now, its a fun time and yet it's so crazy that it's almost over.
Life outside of school is almost non existent. Some days I feel like I never leave campus but I guess that's my life right now. Full time student!! I really enjoy the weekends. They always fly but have yet to fail me in the aspect of always doing something fun.

Speaking of weekends, this past one will not be forgotten. I was invited to the President's Club Banquet in Salt Lake City. You are invited to this dinner if you give $1000.00 or more to BYU-Idaho. I must tell you that it was a very humbling experience to be able to attend this event. We were technically "hosting" the event. Basically along with 5 other students we were representatives of the Student Body. We were able to "mingle" with the guests, introduce ourselves and share experience at BYU-Idaho. Many of the guests are Ricks College Alumni but some aren't. It was so humbling to see these people who give so much for the benefit of my education. I for one would not be able to afford school if it weren't for these wonderful people. They give for the love of the school, students, but I think mostly for the love of the Savior. They don't really see the effects of their generous offering, but I can do my part by making the most of my education, and then after graduation going out into the world and representing BYU-Idaho well. Also in attendance was Pres. Eyring and his wife, Elder Ballard, and many other prominent church members. I got to meet Pres. Eyring, that is an experience I will always remember. He really is a servant of the Lord. Pres. Clark and other Vice Presidents were there hosting this great event, I was so blessed to be apart of it. BYU-Idaho is a special place, there's no other place like in on this earth. It's a dedicated campus. I feel so blessed to be able to learn and grow here. Pres. Eyring said that the only reason BYU-Idaho changes lives of the students and teachers is because of the Atonement. Nothing on the campus would work if it wasn't for our Savior.

These are some of the other students involved. We were on the 26th Floor of the Church Office Building.

I've mentioned my FHE group before. Well here's another shout out to the Foster Kids. We tried to go to Green Canyon hot springs. I mean tried by we got there and it was closed to the public. Luckily I have a wonderful cousin who lives at Aspen Village, and that complex has a swimming pool and a hot tub. Yes, it was wonderful.

James...got to love him!

Annie and I conserved water by showering together afterwards. Don't worry our swim suites stayed on the whole time.

Life is great. The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy with the semester ending. The weather is trying to warm up. It's been super windy the past couple of days, but it hasn't been super cold which I'm grateful for. Spring is on it's way!
