2 years!!!

Today I realized that it was two years since I left the office at the White House. It makes me sad to think that it's been so long. Granted it's been a wonderful 2 years! My experience in DC changed my life and perspective on everything. I grew to love Savior which lead me to love others more and resulted in loving myself. This was one of the first pictures ever taken when I got there. I had no idea what was ahead of me.

Where I checked into for 4 1/2 months. Best office ever.

Marine One!!! So cool.

George Dub a ya, and Mrs. Bush

I love the people in the Office of Records Management. Oh how I miss them. I keep in close contact with a couple of them still. Every Friday I text my friend Darin to wish him a Happy Friday. And about once a week I send Mary an email.
This is my wonderful Office. They taught me so much. I hope that I had a little influence for good on their lives.

Here is an email I sent everyone the day I left.

"The Girl From Utah:
Well today is the day....
I don't really know where to begin. I'll start by thanking you all for yesterday. That was above and beyond anything that I could imagine. Thank you for the wonderful food... especially the Ice Cream Sandwiches :)

I'm never going to forget my time here in The Office Of Records Management. It really has been so much more that I could ask for. Thank you for being so accepting and literally taking me under your wing. I really loved coming to work everyday. I know that may sound crazy to some of you. Thanks for the good times and all the laughs. Thanks for letting me be myself and be a little crazy at times. I am going home a better person, thanks to you. I love all of you. Thanks again.

~Bekah Hintze
The Favorite Intern :)

ps Woo Hoo!!

Please please please keep in touch. Email, letters, text messaging (love it). If you are ever out west i.e. Utah, Idaho you better let me know."

No one has yet to make it out this way, but Mary and Darin both have said they would come out for my wedding. I'm holding them to it.

My "office" This was actually my last day....so sad. I cried hard that day.

This is CJ, I know for a fact that she was supposed to be apart of my life. She has blessed my life and I love her dearly.

One of my best discoveries while living in DC. Best Ice Cream Sandwiches ever!

My last picture in front of the White House. It was not easy to leave.

I think about my experience everyday. It has influenced my life and helped me get the most out these past two years and many more to come. I'm excited I get to go back and visit in August!!

Cheers!
