This Birthday will go down in the books as one of the best. As usual I was pretty excited to celebrate they day I made my debut into this world. My family and friends are champs for enduring and acting excited.
The day started out right by returning to the Salt Lake temple where a year ago I received my endowments. It was wonderful, except for the fact that I got a bloody nose right as the session was starting but I got all cleaned up fast and was able to enjoy the session.
Afterwards we (Jared and I) met my family at the Energy Solutions Arena and cheered on the BYU Cougars basketball team. It was a great game. Tyler Haws got a career high of 42 points.
Then my parents and I went to cash in a free meal at Tucano's. It was so good. I love that place, and I really enjoyed being the only child for a bit with my parents. After we were full, they humored me while I went to go pick out a new dress.
The night was still young...Jared picked me up at home and we headed out for a surprise date. I was so excited when I found out we were headed to Scheels to ride the farris wheel.
We waited in line well over 30 mins....it was so worth it. |
A kiss at the top! |
We ended the night over a bottle of Martinelli's.
Sunday my family gathered for a Gluten Free meal of funeral potatoes and ham. It was delicious. My birthday cake was a family favorite - Scotcharoos!
I was showered with some pretty great gifts. It was a wonderful birthday!
Oh we mustn't forget about the many many many texts throughout the day from the birthday committee. My phone almost blew up from all the vibrating. It was so fun!
Here's to another great year! Being 26 is pretty fabulous!

So all these photos and NONE of your new dress? This is a cardinal sin in my book! Unless it is a temple dress, of course:-)
